Zen Safari adventures
in Big 5 Reserves

A Zen Safari is a journey of self-discovery and nature-connection through mindful meditative awareness in the natural environment.

A Zen Safari has two main objectives, firstly to experience nature as it presents itself to us and secondly, to reconnect at a deeper level other than pure scientific understanding and analysis.  So, in terms of game-drives and walks during a Zen Safari we allow nature to reveal itself and we observe and experience nature for what it is, with a better understanding and knowledge provided by a guide. (a so-called “traditional” wildlife experience).  We will, when the opportunity arises partake in some awareness exercises and meditations to connect us to nature, be it to animals, plants, or other aspects of the natural environment.  By reconnecting to nature through our senses, we “bathe in the atmosphere” of the Savanna bushveld, we come to a greater understanding of our own true nature and our ecological self.   Just by reconnecting we not only feel at peace, but we benefit psychologically and physically through ‘the natural therapy’ that nature provides.

Join us on a safari experience with a difference, reconnecting to nature through meditation and mindfulness.  Benefit from nature’s own ecotherapy by bathing in the atmosphere of the African Savanna bushveld environment.
Learn to meditate, reconnect to nature, and track your own true ecological self.
Learn a mindful approach to deal with your everyday living in a calm and peaceful manner.

The Zen Safari experience reconnects you to nature and based on 30 years of scientific research provides you with an opportunity to improve your immune system and your psychological well-being.

We will spend three days at an authentic Safari Camp or lodge, bringing back the essence of a true safari experience.
The Safari Camps and lodges are situated in Big 5 Reserves, part of the Greater Kruger National Park conservation area. By arrangement, Zen Safaris can be carried out at any other camps and lodges you wish to stay at based on availability and your budget.

The cost at all camps excludes:

  • Flights between the relevant airports
